Faithful Chick aka Faith says:Honey, there would be something wrong if you did not miss him. I still after many years expect family members to walk into the house. I know my family would have been so happy for me that Ted and I were given the opportunity to be husband and wife. We compliment each other well. (I am always late and he was always 2 hours early. Now we compromise and are 1 hour early, much to my dismay. I know they must surely know how happy I have become and satisfied with my life. I told the ANRP at the doctors office one day and she said “not too many people can say that”, and I reminded myself how lucky I am.

I’m 39, and still feel the loss as if it was only yesterday, whenever I think of them. And my mom, it hasn’t even been 2 years, and a go to pieces on a regular basis. There’s a song by Lit Ford, called “Lisa”, she wrote it for her mom when she found out that her mom had cancer. My moms name was Leslie, that song tears the heart right out of my chest whenever I hear it,it so equates to my own feelings for my mom.

It took many years to appreciate the fact that, though she died young, she never suffered. After 35 years, I still miss her terribly, but I know that she has seen the many changes in my life, has watched her grandchildren grow up, and is enjoying her great-grandchildren from a very beautiful place. My thoughts and prayers are with you through this day, and I agree with Lynn…your father must have been a very wonderful man to have had such a special daughter!
