Kathryn Lobert says:Really great pick – of course I can no longer see it because of the cascades of tears after reading the years “80s” and the term “vintage” together!!
:) I was already raising kids by then:) Truly, I do love the colors and beads in this pick – real spirit lifters!:)

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Kathryn, I’m with you on this! ROTFLOL My daughter (now 30) once told me she likes to listen to the “oldies” station on the radio. I asked her what kind of songs they played and she replied, “Oh, you know, stuff from the 80s and 90s, Mom!” Naturally, I was thinking of the 60s and 70s, so we had a good laugh over it!!!

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Kathryn, maybe Daydream Believer means “1880s” — possible? LOL
This is a fun pick full of great colors!

shimmer chick says:they say 20 yrs + makes something vintage… but the 80’s??? I am not buying it either.
Glad you enjoy the colors!

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Does that mean WE are vintage?!?!?! ROTFLOL

Little Round Chick says:Isn’t it funny how “Oldies but Goodies” in music means so many different things. To me the golden oldies are from the 50’s and early 60’s. Maybe they should be designated as the “Really Old Golden Oldies.”
Your pick is a great one Daydream Believer. Love those screaming greens!

Cotopaxi Chickie Sue says:great pick for a…daydream believer, and a …homecoming que-e-e-en! Yep, I’m a golden oldies 50’s and 60’s also! anyone else watch the Monkees on tv?

shimmer chick says:i was a fan… hence my screen name…. i loved me some Monkees
On Aug 16, 2009 at 2:51 am #
Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:“Hey, hey, we’re the Monkees, people say we monkey around. But we’re too busy singing, to put anybody down.”
Why, yes, Sue — I do believe I’ve heard of the show. LOL Watched it ALL the time!!! Owned all the records (back when records were records), knew all the words to their songs……

Cotopaxi Chickie Sue says:ah, the good old days! Hey db and Chicky LE, who was your favorite Monkee? I had a thing for Davey Jones…
On Aug 16, 2009 at 3:09 am #
shimmer chick says:i was def a Davey Jones fan.

Jeannes Gems - Gem Chick says:I still have the records in the basement!
80’s definitely is not vintage. But if we’re talking “Monkees” definitely going back to the 60’s. Love Davey Jones!
Now my daughter has them on her ipod.
btw – fun bright colors – actually reminds me of some of the things I wore in the 70’s. lol

Deb D Grammy Chick says:I watched every show, bought all the records (round, vinyl disks with grooves for those too young to remember) and had posters of them on my bedroom wall. Boy does that take me back!
Great pick! I love all those bright, bold colors…this one really pops!

Elaine aka Belly Chick says:Mmmmm….Davey Jones!!! I loved the Monkeys, they were my all-time favorites!!
Great pick with great 80’s colors!!

CAS says:Ahhhh … the good old days … NOT! Not “old” that is. Hey, I was starting college and my working life then, it can’t be that long ago … yikes … it was …
Great color combo!
My first “grown-up” album (yes, round vinyl thing) was the Monkees first album. “Last Train To Clarksville”, still a favorite, “Day Dream Beleiver”, “Pleasant Valley Sunday”, “I’m Not Your Stepping Stone” … ditto, ditto, ditto! We even got to stay up to watch the show! I was a Mickey fan.

Valentine Chick says:Hey Chickie LE: Shouldn’t that be “We’re too busy beading”?!?! HeHe!
Oh my girls, the 80’s CANNOT be vintage! I was growing up through the 80’s. I can’t be that old. We always considered the “oldies” music to be from 50-60s and Classic rock was 70s. Now I hear kids talking about the oldies music being the 70s. It’s just not right! LOL
I guess you are only as old as you act. And I think us Young Chicks are pretty hip still! ROTFLOL

Valentine Chick says:Oh I am so sorry…I love the colors in this pick!!!
On Aug 16, 2009 at 10:35 pm #
Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:You’re right, Jen — “We’re too busy beading” should be the lyrics!!! LOL
On Aug 16, 2009 at 10:41 pm #
Chicky Chicky Blueroze says:Now I’m really feeling old. LOL I was having and raising my kids in the 80’s. Yes, to me too, the 50’s and 60’s are the oldies. I was in High School in the 70’s, and now in the 2000’s my kids are having kids.
On Aug 17, 2009 at 6:42 am #
Chicky Suz aka Susan Z says:“Here we come, walking down the street”……loved the Monkees. Also a big Paul Revere and the Raiders fan. Loved Mark Lindsay! The colors in this pick are very cool!

Helen G aka tea chick says:my brothers and I used to watch the Monkees in the afternoons, and “Last Train to Clarksville” was the first record we ever bought! Now that I have kids and listen to Kid’s Stuff radio on Sirius when we’re in the car, we love the new Davy Jones song “Personal Penguin”! Anyone here heard it? It’s super cute!
