This strange combination of colors probably needs an explanation. Rover was a red tabby (which is basically orange and cream). His nose was pink, his pads were pink, his whiskers were white and his eyes copper. All of these colors make up the pick, “A Cat Named Rover.

I didn’t mean to post this twice. Rover was only one cat not two.

LOL Nancy, you didn’t post it twice — there is some kind of glitch in the LB main page where sometimes our comments from various areas show up there twice! Steve said they are working on it……poor guy. He probably has no spare time with all the things we request of him. :-(

Sometimes I’ve seen things show up 2, 3, or 4 times in a row on the main page! LOL

Your pick for Rover is really cute! Thanks for including a pix of him! Is there a story behind his name? As in…..he liked to rove a lot? :D

Yes Chicky LE, there is a story behind the name. Rover was a rescue cat. He was sitting out side a glass door where my husband worked. It was raining and he “waving” to Richard who scooped him up, put him in the car until work was finished then brought him home. At the time we got him the TV series Star Trek:The next Generation was the hot ticket and we were big fans. On one episode we were introduced to Mr. Data’s cat, Spot, who was a seal point Siamese…..Well we decided if Data could have a cat named Spot we could have one named Rover. At least we didn’t name Fido. That would have been way over the top even for us.
