    Translation of the first sentence.
    “Once upon a time there was a little girl who lived with her mother in a little cottage on the edge of a large dark forest.” I’ll have to try a different one as a tribute to Rocky and Bullwinkle and how about Mr Peabody and the Way Back Machine? I think it was Mr. Peabody…? Me thinks my brain suffers from too much free time. :)

    Yes, Lynn, it is Little Red Riding Hood!! Some where in all of my teacher’s stuff I have this whole story written in the same manner. It was given to me many years ago by another teacher. When you read it out loud it sounds like a foreign dialect of a language that isn’t quite English. However, all of the words in the story are real English words. The usage is a little scrambled.
