“All Is Well”

Description from Mary - Sweet Chick: This is for all who have lost loved ones. It hangs on my refrigerator and I take great comfort in it.

Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I and you are you. Whatever we were to each other, That, we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference into your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.

Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without effect. Without the trace of a shadow on it.

Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same that it ever was. There is absolute unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?

But I am waiting for you.
For an interval.
Somewhere. Very near.
Just around the corner.

All is well.

Mary, I am typing this through tears. I know you understand what I mean when I say this means a great deal to me. I am going to print this and give a copy to my daughter & son-in-law — perhaps they will find comfort in it also.

What a lovely pick, not only in the colors, gems, and pewter pieces you have chosen, but in this wonderful writing you have shared with us, Mary. Bless you.

I am stunned that no one else has discovered this — the pick is so lovely and the writing accompanying it is very moving. Thanks again, my Sweet Chick! :)

    Thank you Lynn!
It goes to whoever NEEDS it.
Maybe it’s done that already. ;-)

Like a pebble dropped in the ocean.
The tiniest ripple can reach shores unseen.

Bella Chick, I am so sorry for your losses. My prayers go out to you and your family.

Suzanne & Dave’s loss was of another kind. Dave’s sister and her husband were killed in a plane crash. Suzanne & Dave fought very hard for over a year to be allowed to have custody of the 3 children left behind, but it was not meant to be. They are still grieving on many levels.
