Thank you Debra – Washington’s supposed to be the “apple capital” of the U.S., but we sometimes do find we’re eating apples grown outside of the U.S. – go figure!

OK Sali Jo – hey, we need an option where we can share recipes, eh? I’ve seen recipes or reguests for recipes in Picks, I’ll send a comment to LB asking! :)
anyone have any good cobbler or applesauce recipes? For me, the only cobbler recipe is one that uses a box of yellow cake mix, two cans of pie filling and one block of melted butter.
Put fruit filling into greased 13 x 9 ” baking pan, pat/pour cake mix over the top and smooth evenly over fruit so there’s no lumps. Then drizzle melted butter over the top evenly so it covers cake mix, bake for an hour in 350 degree oven. You can also put some toppings on top, such as coconut and/or nuts if you like.

Beautiful pick, Joyce!! I love apples, especially the crispy kind! I have heard of this recipe, but never seen it written down – thanks, I’ll have to give it a try. ;)
