Description from Lynn in Oz: Hubby and are going to be celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary next March and I am thinking of surprising him with a long weekend away- just the two of us.
Now a lot of this is dependant on whether I can con a family member to look after the kids...
Other than that the decision is where to go? Ayres Rock or Far North Queensland?

Southern Chick says:Great way to depict the two different places! I wouldn’t be able to decide…

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Congrats!!! What a wonderful anniversary surprise, Lynn! You’ve done a marvelous job of illustrating both areas!
You may have to flip a coin…..
BTW, our wedding anniversary is March 15, and we will be married 35 years in 2010! What date is yours?

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:I was 12 when we got married. ROTFLOL

March 25 is our anniversary

Chicky Bear-Tara says:Sorry…I have to do it! Choices choices. I guess you have to go with what you like to do and what you like. Lush green and ocean or a big rock! Beautiful pick. It does depict both worlds.

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Crikey, Lynn, you really did nail those color choices!!! LOL How did you like my Australian accent?
Tara, thanks for sharing those gorgeous pix with us! I’m thinking — road trip to visit Lynn in Oz!!! Well, there might be some air travel involved, too…..
On Aug 12, 2009 at 10:14 am #
Chicky Bear-Tara says:Oh yeah! That plane trip is not fun! 14 hours is way too long to be on a plane…especially when your not in Business or First Class. And that is from LA…not including your flight to LA if you have to go there! But, Australia is beautiful!

Valentine Chick says:Ooh! I love that you are going to suprise your husband! My 15th will be in 2 years. No matter which you decide, you will have a great time!!
On Aug 12, 2009 at 10:18 am #
Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Yikes! I forgot about the looooooong plane trip! Hmmmmmmmm Cruise ship? Still long, but definitely more comfortable.
That way we wouldn’t have to worry about weight limits for bringing back souvenirs, such as BEADS!!! LOL

Happy Chick aka Harriet says:Pretty pick!!!
BTW: the Australian beading community even has their own magazine..usually on the racks at Barnes & Nobles… a bit pricey, but nice projects.

Happy Chick aka Harriet says:Lynn, I thought you were from Kansas…don’t know why… but that would be a very long weekend trip to get to Ayres Rock, wouldn’t it? LOL Silly me. I guess the OZ part of your name lead to my favorite exercise—jumping to conclusions.
On Aug 12, 2009 at 10:41 am #
Chicky Bear-Tara says:A cruise ship would take days to get there! But, you are right…way more comfortable. Of course, a cruise ship may cost as much as first or business class! Either way, I would plan on staying there at least two weeks…a month would be better. There is so much to see and do!

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Hey, Harriet! I was jumping right along with you when I first met Lynn in Oz! Guess I watched “The Wizard of Oz” a few too many times to think it could mean anything besides Kansas! ROTFLOL
On Aug 12, 2009 at 11:28 am #
Happy Chick aka Harriet says:I know, Chicky LE. You get a certain mindset going, see the movie again on the Classic Movies channel, and there you go…off with the whirlwind! LOL

Lynn in Oz says:Maybe I should change my name to Lynn in Aus??? LOL
Thanks ladies, the more I look at the brochures the more I am leaning towards an island off the coast of FNQ such as: http://www.hayman.com.au/
