Description from Purple Chick aka Violet: A few weeks ago a hummingbird decided to build a nest right outside my front window. It was built on a string of old Christmas lights that were forgotten. The star of the lights formed the foundation for the nest. Over the weeks we've watched the babies hatch & grow. Today one practiced flying while the other watched. Here's the chick remaining that still hasn't mastered it's flying prowess!! Oh, and it's barely the size of a quarter!!
