Description from Mary S - Sweet Chick: We lost our beloved Bubby today and I am in a state of shock. We live way out in the country and there are a lot of coyotes around. Last night they were VERY close to the house.......but it never occured to me what I would find when I came out this morning. I heard a groan and looked to see my sweet Frodo lying next to the side walk. As I aproached, I saw him breath his last. My Bubby, my sweet Frodo, I am so sorry.......I miss you terribly.
I know so many of you are animal lovers and I know you understand this pain. Thank you for letting me share this with you.

Daisy Chick - Dawn says:I can tell you I know just what you are going thru at this moment. We lost our beloved shelty Wrigley only a week ago. I still feel like I have this huge empty spot in my heart. I am heartbroken. What we thought was an upset tummy and so did our vet, ended up being a mass the size of a softball the next day at the emergency vet. Wrigley was only 6. Give yourself the time to greive and shed the tears you must. I know what your are going thru and your great sadness. Make today and those that follow as easy on yourself as possible. Only you know what is best for you at this time remember and do the things you need to do to find comfort. I will light a candle for you and Frodo. My heart goes out to you.

Beadlady3 aka Cindy says:I am so sorry for your loss! I still feel an ache for my two kitties, Buster and Boo, who were killed by dogs that got into my back yard. I buried them in my garden & planted daisies there (yep!). When I moved, I dug up some daisies & brought them with me so I would always remember them (I had Boo for 19 years!). I hope you know there was lots of love there from Frodo and hold on to that!

Beadlady3 aka Cindy says:Oh, and I bet Frodo was a black & white, right? So were both of my cats! Thanks for sharing the pick.

Mommykat Bubbly Chick says:Mary, Sweet Friend, i am so sorry for your loss. Always, our pets are friends, a part of family, and it is never easy when they leave us. Mary, please do not agonize over the way Frodo life was finished. It is far better to remember the love, love is forever. i will pray that you find comfort. Please know you are not alone in your grief!

Deb D Grammy Chick says:Oh, Mary, my deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved Frodo. We lost our Katie last year (she, too, was black and white), and it was a terrible loss to us. We still think about her and talk about her often, but the pain has lessend over time.
I believe that God chooses the right time for all of us , both human and animal,to leave this world, and he must have needed Frodo at just this time. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve. Take the time to do that in your own way, with whatever brings you comfort, and know that you are not alone.

sobead says:What a horrible tragedy. I’m really sorry for your loss. Pets are family members who own a piece of your heart. I still miss my dog, Corey even though I now have sweet, funny Jasper. You’re in my thoughts and prayers.

Mary S - Sweet Chick says:Dawn, Cindy, Sarah, Lorrie, Martha, Deb, and sobead, thank you so much for your kind words, thoughts and prayers. They really do mean a whole lot. You have all experienced this and your understanding is a comfort. You guys are great.
I just keep replaying in my mind those last few moments of his life. I KNOW he laid there for hours. Did he wait for me to come out of the house this morning? I don’t know, but the thought of his fear and agony alone out in the dark is almost too much. Two more of our kitties are missing. They are pretty independant and it’s not uncommon for them to be away, so I’m hoping they are just hiding out some where. Pippin, Frodo’s litter mate just follows me around all day or lays near the dogs for company. Its going to be tough on her, Frodo was her best kitty friend and she doesn’t care for the other two very much. We all have a lot of adjusting to do…….

J Yee smart chick says:Mary, my condolences and prayers go to you and your family over the loss of your dear Frodo, how painful – and yes, do give yourself time to mourn him
Dawn, so sorry to hear of the loss of your sheltie just a week ago
Cindy, many thanks also for sharing about the loss of your two cats Buster and Boo -
I had two kitties for a long time, Sweetpea and Tiny Miss – both passed on due to different conditions – Sweetpea’s body just stopped, she was not quite 19 years, and Tiny Miss had chronic sinus infections towards the end of her 15 and a half years,
Mary, Sending lots of prayers, hugs and good wishes to you, Dawn, Cindy – and anyone else who has lost a beloved pet tragically.

Chicky Red-haired Grammy says:Mary, we also live out in the country – on a lake in northern Minnesota. One day my darling, feisty 11 year old Suzie (Yorkie and Tsu) didn’t come home. Our speculation is that an eagle took her as we lve by no roads and it was 3:30 in the afternoon. Many eagles on the lake and she weighed only 6#. I just trust she never knew what hit her. Eagles strike hard, fast and soundless and she loved the beach. I still cry after 3 years. Please accept my most profound sympathy. Rural living is wonderful; Mother Nature is without mercy.

Kitty Chicky Cat says:O Sweetheart, I am SO sorry!! I don’t know what to say but ({}) (that’s me sending a big hug your way and to all those who have lost a furry or feathered loved one!) Make something, maybe a Zebra jasper pendant if that’s his coloring, so you can wear it close to your heart, hold it, and remember how much he loved you! ({})!!

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Oh, my dear friend — my heart is breaking for you and your loss! Frodo must have been a wonderful cat and I know you miss him soooo much. I still miss our beloved Shelby and it’s been 3 months now since she passed. Hers was also a sudden passing, which I believe leaves us in even more of a state of shock.
Please try to dwell on Frodo’s wonderful life and not the way it ended. He knew you loved him very much and would not want you to beat yourself up over what happened. He will be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge one day. My thoughts, prayers, love, and hugs are with you, Mary. I’m here if you need a friend to talk with.

Mary S - Sweet Chick says:Again, many thanks for all your generous thoughts and comforting words! Alice, Violet, Joyce, CR-h Gramm, Kitty and Lynn, you and all the rest of this whole crazy place at LB are simply the best! Cheeky RH Gramm, you are so right and your words are full of truth and genuine wisdom. I love the country life and wouldn’t trade it for anything! I am so sorry for your loss of Suzie.
It was such a joy to find them here with us! I had feared that my whole feline pride had been left with only one. Maybe there is mercy in the heart of Mother Nature?!
Lynn, bless your ever loving heart! You hang in there too, OK?! Hugs!
I will have my moments but I will get through this. Right now it’s the great moments and his little quirks that bring tears to my eyes, only because there will be no more of them…. Silly cat!!
Here’s some great news! Bilbo and Rosie Cotton, the other two missing kitties showed up this morning!!!
She is not always cruel and heartless, She is what She is…….
