Debbi aka Sparkle Chick says:This pick is a whole lot prettier than what is going on outside! We’ve gotten about a foot so far Ivy, how about you?
It’s so blustery out there too…everything here is cancelled today!
Stay warm & safe!

Cuban Queen Crazy Chick says:We actually didn’t get hit too hard, I’d say only about 2 or 3 inches but it’s hard to tell with it being so windy outside. And it’s still coming down…can you believe almost all the schools on the east coast are closed today?? I’m not complaining though, at least I got to sleep in a little bit!

Debbi aka Sparkle Chick says:The whole east coast does seem to be off today…it’s like the day the earth stood still or something! Sleeping in is GOOD!

CAS says:Sleeping in is wonderful! We’ve only gotten about 1/4 inch or so here in northern NH, it’s still coming down and blowing about though. My sister in ME told my Mom this morning that they’d had 8 inches by 8 am. I am SOOOOO ready for spring.

POF Chick Nina says:I live in NW Ohio and lived through the blizzard of 1978. That was the most fightening experience of my life. Whenever it snows and the wind blows I go into panic mode. The Blizzard pick is much more beautiful than the real one was. I hope all of us have seen the last of the snow for this year. Winter has overstayed her welcome. I hope all of you stay safe and warm.

Debbi aka Sparkle Chick says:Shunk Woman, I went into labor during the blizzard of ’78! We lived in the Adirondack Mtn. area of NY at the time. It was quite something trying to get to the hospital! That blizzard sure brings back memories, doesn’t it?! I also hate the blowing, howling wind.

CAS says:This isn’t the blizzard of 1978 (I do have pictures of it somewhere…), but it’s how much snow we typically got in NH during that time (1970′s).

CAS says:Oh…by the way, that’s my Mom, brother and youngest sister in the picture.

Anita QoG Funny Chick says:Hey, CAS, isn’t something the snow we used to get when we were kids!!!! My kids are just starting to believe we really get that much!!!!
On Mar 05, 2009 at 12:04 am #
CAS says:Hey Anita – Show your kids this picture, this was JUST AVERAGE for the time! Sometimes we had ALOT more, ie. the Blizzard of ’78. It seems from this winter’s snow amounts we might be swinging back into the higher snow falls. Yuck!

Anita QoG Funny Chick says:I know!!!! I remember when we had to dig a tunnel, just to get out our front door!! Let’s hope it does’nt get that bad any time soon, YYYUUUKKKK!!!! I’m tooooo old to enjoy that —- !!!
