    My mothers (mine and my hubby’s) were the best cooks ever. I could never begin to duplicate the delicious pies they made. Blueberry was one of the best. My mother always used less sugar than called for and that made the berry taste really come thru. Adding cinnamon would be really yummy. Fantastic pick.

    Nancy, I know what you mean! My grandmother was the best cook and baker ever, too. She used to love to enter cooking contests and actually won quite a few! One of her specialties was strudel (she was a native of Austria) – she did chocolate, poppyseed, apricot… She would make a lot and then freeze them, so we always had them around. In fact, my uncle took a piece of her chocolate strudel to work every single day of his working career!
