I have many fond memories of sitting in the long north European twilight sipping wine, chatting with friends… I also used to peddle my bike to the church where I practiced to get in a late night (10:30 or so) practice session; it would still be light–amazing to a Texas girl like me. Sure couldn’t do that in Central Texas. It gets dark around 9:00 here in the summer.
