Brown Lace Agate Beads

Think, the patterns of crazy lace agate, but stop right there! Brown lace agate is in a class of its own. The dark reddish-browns and deep reds and oranges are interrupted only by vivid white bands. The patterns are completely random, which keeps things interesting.

This member of the agate family is a banded, or fortification, agate. A banded agate is composed of thin, multi-colored layers of chalcedony and crystalline quartz. Our brown lace agate is a natural agate that has been heat treated to enhance the color of the delicate, swirling bands.
