Description from Deb D Grammy Chick: ...there was Viet Nam.
While peace signs were everywhere and the flower children spoke of it, our military was in another land, fighting in jungles and rice paddies, under a scorching sun and blazing fires. Some were captured, others died, while those who fought dreamed of home and a peaceful existence with their loved ones. Protests and peace marches were held as everyone waited for news. We lived in a country divided by conflicting public opinion about a "conflict" happening half way around the world.
