I have not used most of these either, but that Brown Lace Agate coin is downright sexy! One of those things I love about Fresh Picks, they’re a great way to play with new color combos and materials!

Great pick, Little Round Chick! Does this mean you’re going to try some of these? :D

Well, maybe not the Rainbow Calsilica, unless you win the lottery! OMG — that’s the price for a half strand!!! LOL

As soon as I win the lottery I’ll buy a whole strand. Course I would have to start playing the lottery and that is waste of time and money.

You are so right, Tea Chick, that brown lace agate is calling my name.

Mmmmmottling. I’ve used some of these, but yes, Rbow calsilica is WAY expensive. Maybe rainbow onyx for a similar effect? Fluorite?

Ooooj these are so pretty. Many of these I have not used yet,
but I did just get some recently. I am especially liking the brown lace agate and the coffee bean jasper. They looked even better when I saw them for real. Can’t wait to get started creating.!

The rainbow calsilica is a dark blue, the unakite is sort of a khaki with pinkish colouring in it, the kambaba jasper is quite dark, black tree agate is as you see it, the Brazil sodalite is a pretty medium blue, the green line quartz has many shades of green (sort of banding), but nice, the coffee bean jasper is a lovely combination of light browns and the gray rainbow jasper is one of my favourites, it is a lovely silvery colour with a reddish tinge to it. Hope this helps. The remaining beads I don’t have either so I can’t describe them but if they are as nice as the rest, you can be assured of lovely beads.

So, a few more. The African brown rhyolite has cool greenish grays in it as well as tawny ochres and browns. It’s very exotic looking – almost like an animal pattern. The polish is good, but muted – some of the matrix may be porous.

Sodalite is a medium to dark blue when I get it, and the blue is lower saturation and slightly more violet than, for example lapis. Think more denim than cobalt.

I’ve seen a range of unakite, haven’t gotten it from here yet, but sometimes it can range to green with salmon.

Leopardskin jasper really does have a leopard -like pattern, it’s a medium black medium gloss stone with reddish (pink tinged) patterning and sometimes greenish or yellowish detail. I think some of the patterning may be softer than the matrix – just a caution when you handle it and design with it.

The kambaba jasper beads (I have small rounds) are greener and the pattern is more intense and strangely geometric than pictured – better in person. The rounds look like little alien eggs.

LOVE the discussion here about beads that we haven’t used but maybe have some of… 3K, sure appreciate your descriptions of many of the beads in this Pick! the coffee bean jasper indeed does look as depicted, so does the imperial jasper. ocean jasper does look like the pic shown if the grade of stone is good, otherwise it’s more subdued, with less distinctive orbicular (round-ish patterning like ocean bubbles) designs in vivid greens, gray/whites and muted pinkish orange.
Ditto tea chick, I too greatly appreciate that Picks allow us to experiment “safely” w/ different bead and color combos… whew, didn’t notice till now that the rainbow calsilica is sooo pricey!!! guess I won’t be ordering any, any time soon…

Alas, so many beads, so little cash in my pocket. The wire wrapped piece I sold tonight looked a lot like the green line jasper. The copper wire really looked nice on it!
