3KJEWELS-3KCHICK says:Love this pick Angela. Cool summer days? Wow 109 and 100 today. And I thought it was warm here. Our temperatures have been hovering around 25-33 Celcius for the past couple of weeks. Cloudy, rainy, humid and VERY HOT for us here. (not good at converting the temperature). Too hot. We’re not used to those kind of tempertures even in July and August.

DOG Chick aka Angela says:Yeah, but the marine layer is kicking in and we are cooling down. We will be in the high 80’s to low 90’s now. You guys are way too cool for me! But what is “rain”? LOL! Not much rain in Sunny CA and we are officially in a drought!

3KJEWELS-3KCHICK says:Goodnight Chickies, talk to y’all tomorrow. Angela, we live inland about a half hour drive from the Fundy coast but it is very warm for us. I was in Sacramento a few years back and I couldn’t believe how dry everything was and that was in the month of June. No green grass, everything was so parched I couldn’t believe it.

Southern Chick says:Good night to y’all. Talk to you tomorrow.

Kitty Chicky Cat says:Yikes!! 1-0-9?! Ouch!! It inspired a beautiful pick but I’d be melting, even @ 100!! Makes complaining about 96 seem laughable!! It’s much cooler here! 70-80s and we just got a spurt of rain. One moment everything was quiet the next it was raining the next it was pounding and then it just stopped!! I know the feeling of everything being cooked to a golden brown by drought though!! ‘you may only water on these days for this long at that time of day’! We’ve been wetter than normal lately but the rains are starting to let up and some lawns are already looking a bit crunchy!

Cotopaxi Chickie Sue says:Angela, absolutely loving this pick! Not your weather though – i was working in AZ in July a couple of years back and thought I’d wither up and die! Glad to hear it’s cooling down – hope you get some rain!

Chicky D aka Debra says:It was 103 here in Central Texas. I could see storm clouds in the northwest, but it missed us.
We won’t see pleasant 70’s and 80’s until late October or even November. I’m used to it, though. I had a REAL hard time when I lived in Germany and Indiana. March is supposed to be warm, right?

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Ah, yes, Debra — March in Indiana.
We got married on March 15, 1975, (yeah, I know, beware the Ides of March) and all of our wedding photos show the snow from the previous days piled up outside and in the parking lot of the church!!! Of course, hubby is from Wisconsin and says they have had snow up there in May some years. No, thank you!

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:BTW, Angela, so glad to hear you’re having a cold spell now! ROTFLOL
And glad it inspired this beautiful pick, too!

Chicky D aka Debra says:Yeah, Lynn Eileen, I know. I just kept carting firewood into the house well into April, thinking, “what’s wrong with this picture????? It’s the NEVER-ENDING winter.”.
I also remember the March hailstorm that pulverized the 200 gorgeous tulips just beginning to bloom in the front yard. Hey, my tulips were the ENVY of the neighborhood. And the president of DePauw U. lived just down the street. I miss tulips… Just not cold enough in the winter here in Texas. But, I’ll be okay. I quite like NOT having to shovel snow!

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Tulips or no snow shoveling. Hmmmmmmmmm Let’s see? I would pick the same as you, Debra!

Chicky D aka Debra says:Yep!!!!! I quite like it here where it simply doesn’t matter if I can’t find my ice-scraper. No one else can, either. We’re ALL late for work that one day of the year!

DOG Chick aka Angela says:We cooled down quite a bit and it is only supposed to be around 90 degrees today so I think I will survive. It is better than Texas though with all those bugs! I miss the Texas rain but not the Utah snow! I once shoveled snow and I will never do that again unless I have too! I understand Arizona was a balmy 112 when we were at 109 so I guess we did ok! LOL!
