Description from Colleen: October is breast cancer awareness month. For me, it is more a reminder of those of us coping with cancer of any type. Silver and blue is the ribbon color for that, so that is what inspired this pick. I'm lucky, the form of leukemia I have is controlled with medication that I will take for life and the side effects aren't too bad (lol, they aren't that great either). But always in my mind are people who have to go through more debilitating treatments. Or even people who are cured or in remission and still have to be reminded of the danger as they return to their oncologist for regular checks.
