NY Bella says:Beth, this pick and your title brings back so many memories! Every mid-August my grandmother would can bushels of tomatoes (some which were home-grown). Beginning early in the morning until dinner time, everyone helped- peeling, boiling ,straining, etc. At the end of the day, we had jars upon jars of tomato sauce ready to be used throughout the year. Thanks for this wonderful reminder of my past!
