The traditional birthstones for December are zircon & blue topaz (which aren't available at this time for an LB pick) and lapis.
The modern birthstones are turquoise and tanzanite.
The turquoise stone is also the ancient Polish and Russian birthstone.
The mystical birthstone is onyx.
The ancient Arabic, Hebrew, Italian & Roman birthstone is the ruby.
