Classy Chick JbyJill says:I think they work wonderfully together. The pink chocolate goes well with it too. A dash of a real pale pink would spice it up too!!
On May 30, 2009 at 11:04 pm #
Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:YES!!! Was that subtle enough? LOL I have the brown rhodochrosite, but not the Monaco agate, but they certainly look as though they would be great together. The BR pieces I received look paler than the pix, but are still pretty and would work well with your MA. I like the pearls and gold you’ve chosen, and Jill’s suggestion about addding some pale pink sounds good to me!

Debbi aka Sparkle Chick says:Thank you Jill and Lynn! I appreciate your comments.
Thank you Jill for the suggestion of pale pink. I have some rose q. & pink pearls that might work.
Thank you Lynn for letting me know that the brown rhodo is a bit paler in “real life!”
Thanks for your help!

Jeannes Gems - Gem Chick says:I agree with the other ladies. They’re beautiful together. The touch of pink could brighten it some.

CAS says:A cream FWP would most likely work too.

Debbi aka Sparkle Chick says:Thank you Jeanne & Christine…oh boy, how am I going to slip an order past hubby…May was a busy LB package month for me. I’ll just have to sell some jewelry….Jeanne, you are certainly an inspiration on that front!

Jeannes Gems - Gem Chick says:Here’s another thought – do you have a local bead shop or large arts and crafts store nearby? light pink czech glass or crystal. small investment, lots of sparkle. Unless of course you really want an excuse to put in another order LOL

Debbi aka Sparkle Chick says:hahaha I like how you think Jeanne!
I just checked my stash and I found light pink czech glass! Thank you so much for your suggestions chickies!
Our AC Moore and Michaels also might have something too. Our local bead shops are lovely but very pricey. I recently priced rainbow soocho at a local store…I believe it was twice the LB price for a HALF strand!
It was excellent quality, but still!
LB ROCKS!

Jeannes Gems - Gem Chick says:Good for you, Debbi for finding that Czech glass. I just came back from the local store because I totally forgot that I needed some light rose quartz for a pair of earrings. Need to bring them to work tomorrow. Luckily she happened to have two loose beads. perfect for what I need. They definitely are a lot pricier, but good in a pinch.
Can’t wait for LB’s sterling!!!

Jeannes Gems - Gem Chick says:Oh – I also ran into the pizza place because the waitress has asked for something pink. So I brought her a small selection – but I knew she’d go for the pink tourmaline and silver.
Cha – ching… quick sale

Debbi aka Sparkle Chick says:Sometimes I like the option of purchasing just a few beads too. I am glad you found exactly what you were looking for today!
I am also excited to see what LB offers in sterling. I hope it is as affordable as where I get my supplies now. I KNOW it will be of the best quality!
I also enjoy czech glass…do you work with it often? I really like the satin beads for sort of a matte look.

DOG Chick aka Angela says:A little muscovite would look good as well but I agree with a lighter pink. Very pretty colors!

CAS says:Debbi, Jeanne and I are arranging a Chicky expedition to Ivy’s new restaurant, do you want in? We’ve invited DD (Mystic Chick) too.

Debbi aka Sparkle Chick says:I agree Angela, Muscovite would also be great! I didn’t think of that..I was taken in by the brown rhodo!

Happy Chick aka Harriet says:Just looked in and added this to my favs.

Jeannes Gems - Gem Chick says:Debbi – my weekends are complicated during June, but we’re trying to work something out.
I use the czech from time to time. I think what I use is considered fire polished, but not the ab. I like the clear ones because they sparkle similar to crystals. Here’s an example
On May 31, 2009 at 6:10 pm #
Happy Chick aka Harriet says:I also like the czech crystals in my designs. They can add a nice sparkle, and make good spacers, too. Also, as we discussed before, they help stretch the beautiful LB beads and pearls.
Sometimes, when using really dark stones, I like to add these czech crystals to bring in a little light to the piece.
On May 31, 2009 at 6:23 pm #
Debbi aka Sparkle Chick says:Lovely necklaces & earrings Jeanne…thank you for sharing!
I also like stretching the bead budget by using czech glass on occasion. I love swarovski crystals but they can get pricey…especially when I want some in every color!
Jeanne, I certainly understand that your month of June must be hectic!
