Description from Mary S - Sweet Chick: For Jeanne and all of us who have delt with spilled boxes of beads.
Jeanne, I feel your pain!
My work area is upstairs in the loft over looking our living room. Just last week, after finishing a project, I came downstairs and CRASH.......!!!! pink, pink, pink.... OH NO!!!!
THREE boxes of beads had slid off and spilled into a pile. Little round beads were rolling off the edge of the loft and bouncing down into the living room. It took me 2 hours of picking up and sorting to get them back in their places.
I knew it would happen one day. It has. Hope it never happens again!

I have had a few of those myself, most of them caused by my ever mischievous Meggie cat! I try to keep the door closed to the room where I have my beading table and all my supplies, but my husband leaves it open occasionally (or she sneaks in when the door is open), and creates all kinds of chaos. The last disaster occured when my table was full of loose beads, beads in small containers, and several partially finished projects. She had a high old time playing on the table, and I spent a week searching for beads! I’m still looking for one missing earring!

I regularly spill beads in my kitchen where I sometime bead due to the proximity to food and good light! My husband has become accustomed to picking up seed beads and he just collects them in a little bowl so that I can eventually lead them back to their proper homes. My biggest gripe is that they sometime find their way to my heating registers which are in the floor! Now that is really a problem! Almost impossible to find them there! Jeanne – my condolences on your seed bead mishap. I definitely feel your pain!

Mine involved pearls. Those of you who are my fellow pearl whores (LOL) know about my stash — all sizes, shapes, & colors. I spilled 3 plastic divided boxes all over the bedroom floor — carpeted, of course. It took FOREVER to clean them up and sort them. I fear some never got back with their “own kind”. I kept finding pearls for weeks afterwards; one was even hiding in one of my shoes!!! ROTFLOL
