Description from Deco Chick Elaine: Grandma and Grandpa lived near a river, and we would go to play there when the water was low. All kinds of algae and mosses grew on the rocks in the sparkling waters, and we found small shells, snails, crayfish, and minnows there. It was fun to catch minnows for a fishing trip the next day... Chicky Red-haired Grammy says:Beautiful colours for the sand, mud, mosses and algae. Love the driftwood. We find bits of old clay pipes, bricks, styrofoam and plastic bottles along the shores of the Thames at low tide. A sad commentary. But down along the Devon coast are wonderful tidal pools with the most glorious seaweed, mussels and limpet critters. No crawdads, tho.
