Description from Elis Mom: On a lighter note...This pick is for Dixie...AKA Piglet Princess. I home feed my dogs(and I understand some people may think I'm odd cuz I do). We get alot of catered lunches at work, so there is the opportunity to bring home leftovers. This particular eve I brought home a mixed greens salad. Miss Dix gave me those doey eyes of hers as I was tossing it, so I gave her a bowl. She doesn't seem to like dark green leafies, but she enjoyed the iceberg, tomatoes, and pumpernickel croutons!

My dogs love carrots, apples, and unsalted popcorn and the vet has ok’ed them all because they can do the dog some nutritious good and they also let the dog enjoy eating something chewy with very few calories. Give Dixie a hug from me and my “boys”.

Elis Mom says:Since we’re telling furkid stories….We had a cherry tomato plant up north that grew up into our neighbor’s holly tree. We couldn’t reach all the tomatoes, it was so tall! Every time we took Eli to the back yard, he’d go to the base of the plant and eat all the fallen tomatoes.
And…I had an upset stomache the other day, so I was getting ready to eat a TUMS. Ever the mooch, Dix came to investigate. I let her sniff, and she gobbled it right down! A mint TUMS! At least she got her calcium for the day!
