Description from Karokat: This is for my older sister, who was in hot competition with me in the egg hunt - and I won (for once). She might have won if she didn't have to get scores written for the All-City orchestra last week, so I had more time to hunt than she did. She was really fast at finding those eggs once she got started - or did she have her step-son helping her? Either way, I found more eggs this year. I hope she has something to keep her busy during the egg hunt next year or I'll be in trouble!

Lynn, Sadie is doing fine – we’ve had her for a year now and she’s really blossomed from a shy, scared little girl into a sweet (and somewhat opinionated) little princess. It took her about two months before she’d let my husband pick her up (she was terrified of men, in general) but now she runs up to him and insists on being picked up several times a day. She’s still reluctant to go outside with my hubby, unless I come along too – makes me think that the last time she went somewhere alone with a man, he dumped her at the shelter.
I was so sorry to learn that Shelby is gone, but I’m happy for you that you rescued Coco (and I’m sure Coco is happy too!). Those of us who love dogs so much just can’t live without them.

I appreciate your kind words about my precious Shelby and our new fur baby Coco. Coco is still adjusting to her new life, too. She came from a puppy mill breeder who dumped her at a shelter because she wasn’t producing enough puppies. Coco was pregnant at the time & gave birth to a little puppy who didn’t survive. A rescue group from our city brought her (along with another toy poodle) here and we saw her listed on Petfinder. We met 2 days later and the rest, as they say, is history!
Poor thing, she didn’t even have a name. We had her spayed, teeth cleaned, groomed, all her shots given, and she looks & feels like a new pup! She is 3 years old and full of energy now. At first, she was very hand shy and didn’t know what toys or treats were. Now she loves people and other pets, plays with her toys and enjoys her treats. She also was about 3 pounds underweight and was very bony — not anymore!!!
