I’ve had 2 due to a family history of colon cancer — so far only good news — and the worst part is the prep and the worry. The patient “sleeps” through the test!

Lynn, the prep wasn’t so bad this time. I had yet another colonoscopy a month ago….I got to take a newer prep…called OsmoPrep….all pills! Not for people who have trouble swallowing pills tho’…GREAT prep for me!

Mystic Chick, I DID do the Tom Cruise Risky Business dance in my underwear! MY version WILL NOT be seen on youtube!

Hey Debbi—don’t know how these great picks get by us sometimes. Well I guess we can’t be on the computer constantly. Thank you for this pick. I don’t have a history but TOMORROW I am having my first colonoscopy done. I too have the osmoprep pill b/c I didn’t think I could drink anything that doesn’t taste just right. I begin my pill taking in about a half hour so will probably not be on much after that! Thanks again for your openness and letting us all say congratulations to you on your 8th anniversary of being cancer free!

Mary, I am SO glad you have the OsmoPrep! It IS a bear drinking the gallon liquid prep…a polar bear, maybe?
The OsmoPrep is good but drink a lot of liquid…broth, etc. to stay hydrated. Take good care and I’ll be thinking of you.
