Embellishing a Collage Bracelet
About this Tip:
Learn how you can embellish a collage bracelet using 6x6" Paper Pads, Glitter and Resin.
Components:
The products featured in this tip are listed below.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Create a template using a heavier-stock paper that fits perfectly inside of the bezels. Trace the template 8x all over the patterned paper using the template, highlighting the areas that you'd like to feature in your bracelet. |
Step 2: Use an Exacto blade to cut out the outlined shapes. At this point, it's a good idea to place the shapes in your bezels to make sure they're going to fit properly. |
Step 3: Seal your paper cutouts on all sides and edges with a sealer or craft glue. Take a little bit of that adhesive and brush it on the back of the bezel. Then, place the paper in the bezel and pin down the corners gently with a toothpick. Using that same toothpick, apply bits of adhesive to the areas that you'd like to add glitter. |
Step 4: Open your glitter containers carefully and in a place where you won't bump them. Take a little glue and brush onto certain spots on your paper that you want to attach glitter to. Place your glitter before the glue dries, covering as much or as little of the background paper as you'd like. |
Step 5: Mix enough resin to fill your bezels. Using the stir stick, add drops of resin to each bezel, filling in as evenly as possible. Add depth to your bezels by sprinkling more glitter in the half-filled bezels. Doming the resin will magnify everything and give your bracelet a more dramatic look. Doming works best when your resin isn't super runny, so you may need to work fast. |
