Dawn – Thanks so much for your wonderful pick – just what the doctor ordered – in fact, I’ve been drinking lots of hot tea and my dog (a Westie named Frostie) has been keeping me company whenever I take a break. Thanks very much for taking the time to create such a special pick, for your good wishes and for thinking of me. Much appreciated! Harriet

Hi everyone – thought you’d like to see a photo of Frostie. Now that my kids are all grown, he has become the “baby” around here. He is definitely spoiled, but a very good boy and he is my best buddy when I am sick too. Thanks again for all your kind get well wishes. I am working on it, but I think it will be a few more days until I am back to 100%! Harriet

Wow, Dawn…what a wonderful Rx pick for our friend Harriet! This would make anyone feel better…the perfect prescription!
I hope you’re feeling right back on top of things very soon, Harriet! These colds are miserable. I’m glad that you have Nurse Frostie to stay by your side with comfort and aid. Isn’t it amazing how our fuzzy buddies just “know” when something is wrong and stay close by to help us through?! My cats are just like that, especially the oldest male, Halloween. :D

Harriet, thanks so much for sharing that adorable photo of Frostie with us!!! He is such a gorgeous boy! The way he is posing, he almost looks like a silky-soft stuffed toy!!! LOL How old is Frostie?

  12. Harriet aka BeadVizChick
    Harriet aka BeadVizChick says:

Frostie is now 11 years old! It is hard to believe! That photo was taken several years ago, but he still looks great (although not always so nicely groomed and clean!) He is our first dog – I waited until my 3 children were out of HS to get him. We have had exceptional luck – he is very good natured and a sweetheart! Wouldn’t make such a great watchdog though! He loves everyone who comes to our door! He is also a photo hound – definitely poses for a picture!

  13. Lynn Eileen Chicky LE
    Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:

What a precious fur-baby! You can tell he loves to pose! So you’re saying Frostie would probably hold the door open and invite us to come in? LOL

And probably serve tea and cookies, too! OK, Harriet, that would probably be your department, but we’ll wait until your feeling better! We wouldn’t want to take your adorable Frostie’s attention away from his patient! :D

HAHAHAHAHA — OK, now you’ve got me laughing again, Deb, at the mental image of Frostie serving us tea and cookies!!! 8O

    Harriet aka BeadVizChick says:

Thanks so much Lynn and Deb – yes, you are probably right … he just might invite you in and serve tea and cookies if only he were able to reach the counter top. :D

On a bone shaped tray, of course, and cups specially designed as an exact replica of his water dish! LOL! :D

Perhaps with the assistance of a doggie step stool or ladder….. ;)

Yes! Dawn, you nailed the pick for the “cure of a common cold”! Glad to hear you are feeling better Harriet, and your furry friend is adorable!

After which poor Frostie will be so exhausted that he will have to retire to his nice, soft doggie bed to dream that we never return! ;)

  21. Daisy Chick - Dawn
    Daisy Chick - Dawn says:

Yes the poor Frsoty will need a rest himself! How about a wonderful treat for him. Our First Dogs was named Frosty and she was a Samoyed. I had that dog for 14 years. She even came with to the hospital when we brought the girls home as babies. She would not let anyone come near the girls, before that we would kid that she would say to a burglar take what you want but the steaks are in the freezer, mind getting me one?
