Description from Luv2bead - Little Chick: Since Tuesday I've been feeling kinda sick :( At first I had headaches and my throat hurt. I was so afraid that I wouldn't be able to make it to school on Friday (which would be the last day before Thanksgiving break). I felt better Friday but then Saturday (yesterday) my voice sounded hoarse and I had a weird cough...today's pretty much the same. What really disappointed me was that my friend was having a sleepover last night (which I had been looking forward to). I ended up not going because I didn't want to get anyone else sick. I will have to act like I'm not sick when company comes over for my sister's birthday party today.

I’ve had on and off again sore throat/headache/losing my voice since mid-Oct. tell you what though – when I hear what some folks are going thru with the swine flu, I’m darn glad to have my sore throat! Yikes! Get better quickly, Little Chick!!!

Keep warm, drink plenty of fluids, use a DM cough syrup that loosens chest congestion, take Advil or Tylenol to keep the fever down and gets of rest….that was what my doctor told me. I hope you are up and running very soon!!

I’ve had a cough, sore throat since Nov. 6th…finally went to Dr. and he put me on antibiotics to kick it out of me! I think it’s working…slowly.
So sorry you missed the sleepover!

Warm salt water with a Tbsp. of vinegar, gargled very 20/30 minutes for 24 hours has much of an 8 oz. glass as you can at a time, and it’s amazing what it does for a sore throat! An RN told me this 40 years ago and I’ve done it ever since and I rarely have a sore throat! It really does work!
