“Flowers in November”

Description from Granny Nancy: I wait expectently every November for the first camelia blossom and it never fails me. I saw the first this morning. I had this pick ready yesterday knowing it wouldn't be long and sure enough.

They start on the bushes behind my house and move around to the side and then there are random bushes that we planted here and there. They continue blooming until the azaleas bloom in March. The colors range from deep pink to white but most are a lovely pink.

so beautiful, Nancy!….I too love the anticipation of the camellias blooming, & how fabulous to have a succession in your own garden….I can tell that this brings you wonderful memories!

The blossoms seem to be sparse so far. I’m hoping the warm days in a few will produce more blossoms. My son visited and he went around and fertilized everything. My husband used to take care of them but since he passed I’ve not been able to. I have to do things with a cane and its difficult.
