Cuban Queen Crazy Chick says:We all get it from time to time! For me I’ve noticed that doing something else for a while then coming back to the beads helps a lot. Also try surrounding yourself with things that you admire, that inspire you. Good luck!

Mayan Chick - Lilly says:You’re right. I’ve been in the dumps lately also, so that doesn’t help either. Today, I’m feeling better! That’s a start
Thanks!!

Cuban Queen Crazy Chick says:I’m glad you’re feeling better today. It happens to me too, I get a lot of ups and downs and it seems like my energy/creativity levels go hand-in-hand with that. Just remind yourself that you can “will” yourself out of a blue mood with your mind. Music, candles, reading, being outside, whatever normally makes you happy should help too.

Mommykat Bubbly Chick says:Oh, you have some beautiful beads here! I agree Crazy Chick, and things are harder to accomplish when we are sad. We Chickies are alll here for you!!
in the meanwhile, you can always keep the beautiful picks coming.

Mary S - Sweet Chick says:Oh yes, there is such a thing as beaders block! I get them now and then too as well as the sad days. But remember, this too shall pass.
As for buying beads and letting them sit for a long time…I’m guilty!!!

For three reasons; 1) I’m not sure what to do with them/aka beaders block 2) I don’t have time and 3) I HOARD THEM!!!!
and don’t want to part with them. lol!!
Hang in there Mayan Chick!

Mayan Chick - Lilly says:Thank you, Chickies. I appreciate it. Oh, yes Sweet Chick that is exactly what happens to me. Just got an order today but no clues as to what I’m going to do with them. I’ll wait until Sunday. I’m having a get together with some beaders and hopefully get inspired then.
Thanks again!!!

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Great selection, Lilly! Good advice, too, from the Chicks! I get spells from time to time where I feel uninspired. The ideas above are good ones. Being around other beaders helps a lot — so does taking a class, if you have the opportunity. I find it opens my mind up to new possibilities. Leafing through a beading magazine is helpful or looking through their free websites is good, too! And the Chicks are always here to help out!

Mayan Chick - Lilly says:Thanks Lynn, for the advice and suggestion. You reminded me that I have some bead magazines stashed away. Time to pull them out. You know, I started taking Yoga but I couldn’t handle it. I am going to give it another shot. I currently take a martial arts class and that is a stress reliever but I need something more relaxing like Yoga. Maybe next month, I could enroll on some beading classes. Great idea. Thanks!!!

Happy Chick aka Harriet says:I like your pick! Fav!
I am glad you are part of a beading group. Our group met last nite, and had a great time. Get this: They had seen my nest necklace, and wanted to learn the technique, so I got to pass that along! We had a lot of fun. I love teaching a basic idea, and then seeing where others want to take it!
Then, we had a little time left, so another lady taught us how to make a neat ring using bent wire and lots of pretty beads to decorate it.
I need to order myself a metal mandrel. I was not sure, but now I think I would really use it.
Friends and beading fun can really lift your mood.
