“For Kent”

Description from Frida: Today I got the news that the great artist Kent Viberg succumbed to cancer. I had the great opportunity to a few times of exhibit art together with him and a few other artist during easter. Grateful for that because then I got to know Kent, that had a big heart and was ooohhh so funny. Not that I have had that relation ship that I called and talked, just "shallow" (hard to find the right word). You know when meating at art exhibitons and art stuff we talked... However a great artist is gone a great person is gone and I'm sad.
He worked in mostly stone, mostly with black granite, he used glass, gold and gems in his art. You can google him and you will see. He was supposed to have a exhibition in Monaco... Dunno if that gonna happen.
May he R.I.P

So sorry for your loss and the world’s loss of an artist. I have seen his work. How old was he, Frida? How fortunate that you got to know the person and the artist. This is a beautiful tribute. I am going to spend some time online viewing his work. Hugs!

Yes I’m very fortunate. Sad that I haven’t seen him for a long time. He was born in 1951 so he wasn’t so young but not that old either. Hate cancer!

A wonderful tribute. I’ll bet my #2 son is familiar with his work. He was a Fine Arts Major in Art in college and still does an occasional painting and sculpture in between making a living as a concrete contractor to support himself and his daughter.

I will Google him. I love art, etc. and always wanted to visit the museums in NY but never got there.

I’m sorry for your loss. I know the hurt.

Frida, what a lovely pick to honor Kent’s life and his work. What a blessing for you both to have met and known each other.

Thank you for your comforting sweet comments.

Kent might not be so famous that you know who he is. Here in Swe he is more known. Still I think he is a great artis that should have/deserve some attention.

    Promoting Swe artists :)
