Description from Purple Chick aka Violet: This is my very first fresh pick.!! For fun , I decided to use stones that reminded me of all the fruits in my garden. I love to go out in the back yard and pick fresh fruits. I have purple and green grapes, oranges, lemons, limes, pink grapefruits, plums, peaches, pineapples, pomegranates, bananas, blueberries, raspberries, boysenberries, watermelon, and even though it's not a fruit, macadamia nuts.

Cuban Queen Crazy Chick says:Wow, that is ONE impressive garden!! Where do you live? And congrats on your first pick! We are using the same rainbow color scheme today!

Purple Chick aka Violet says:Thanks, I live in Southern California. I can grow a lot of different things here. I have a huge vegetable garden, herbs, and flowers also. Maybe use those for inspiration of other picks. I love looking at nature for inspiration for my designs.
What are you making with you rainbow scheme? Will there be pics in the design gallery?

Cuban Queen Crazy Chick says:No, it’s not a jewelry piece, it’s just a pick I did for children. My daughter is constantly drawing rainbows.
So you must never go to the grocery store, huh?! LOL

ChickyD aka Debra says:Wow! What a fabulous garden!!!!! Love your 1st pick, too!

Purple Chick aka Violet says:Just saw you pick. It’s great! how old is your daughter? Sounds like she has those creative juices already.
It is a joy to go out in the backyard and decide what vegetables to have for dinner. And they taste so much better than the grocery.
Tonight with our barbeque we are having fresh corn, fresh salsa with tomatoes, peppers, herbs, from my garden, and watermelon.

Cuban Queen Crazy Chick says:Mmm, that sounds good! I know what you mean about things tasting fresher from your own garden. We have a little garden in the back that grows tomatoes, cilantro, zucchini, lettuce, sage, chives, and a few mini watermelons. It’s convenient, cheap, and you know there’s no pesticides or growth hormones in your food.
My daughter is 7. Yes, she’s very creative and has been that way since she was about 2. Her favorite things to do are draw and paint, besides being outside, of course. Do you have any children?

Purple Chick aka Violet says:Sounds like you have nice garden too. Cuban Queen.
Your daughter sounds adorable. Has she made any jewelry yet?
We don’t have any children. We have too dogs. They are our “kids”. The one in the picture is very afraid of the fireworks. A few little ones went off last night and he crawled in my lap looking so scared. So tonight should be fun. The main fireworks are set off at the school at the end of our block. They will be LOUD!!!
But nice for us we can sit in our yard and watch.

Cuban Queen Crazy Chick says:Yeah and you don’t have to worry about parking! LOL
Alicia has made two pieces so far (with a little help, of course) and she loves color like I do but she’s into all things sparkly.
Just the other day she made rainbow earrings!
