Lynn–I’ve missed being part of the LB community for the last several (numerous) months. It’s been a very busy time–on the road for up to 4 days each week with art shows all summer and fall, substitute teaching alot, tutoring for literacy (dyslexics) and, sadly, caring for one of our huskies whom we lost to old age and complications of diabetes (that’s Niki in the front of my screen pix).

Science Chick Runs Sibes says:Thanks to all for your compliments and kind words about Niki. Niki was almost 15 yo when we had to let her go. Chili is 12 yo and showing a major dominance grab (turning 12 always seems to bring that attempt but she also isn’t under Nik). She and our cat have bonded greatly–it’s amazing to see them chase each other through the house.
Julie–yes, the gunmetal is muted so the garnet truly stands out. What you’d want for the graduated garnet strands. But, your pick lets the garnet be an outstanding backdrop for the Mookaite and brass (or antique copper). I’m going to try your idea for a Jan-birthday themed item.
