Not one of my favorite stones, but you made it look stunning with the citrine and topaz!

Awesome pick! Love the tiger eye with the topaz.

I never know what to do with tiger eye either. I start out with it sometimes, but then it gets taken away. Great combo, Becky!

  4. Dill
    Dill says:

Great pick! I don’t use tiger’s eye, either – it seems like it was kind of a fad stone in the mid to late 80s, so I have kind of negative associations with it for that reason. But I agree that you make it look stunning here!

The topaz looks wonderful with the tiger eye!

Thanks, girls! Maybe the way to go is a little tiger eye with its smooth chatoyance and a little rough cut citrine to balance the smooth. I don’t even own any tiger eye because I am so stymied. Anyone up for a challenge? :)

Tiger eye is like a side dish, rather than the main course. My very first strung necklace combined 4mm tiger eye rounds with pale citrine ovals and three kinds of czech glass that resembled the citrine and tiger eye, plus 3mm gold spacer beads.

I bet that was pretty but the gold would have stopped me in my tracks. I never use it. :(
    Maybe Vintaj Brass…..

    Elis Mom says:

Tiger eye and turquoise look great together, but this is lovely with th citrene, Becky!

Good idea, Puppychick, some Vintaj pieces would bring balance to the tiger eye.

I was thinking about pairing it with cobalt blue, but I love it with the rough citrine :D

Well Becky, I couldn’t help but take that challenge. So for the past two days I’ve been trying to make something with Tiger Eye, and I’m finally happy with it. Thanks for driving me crazy :-D

ooh, I hope you’re going to show us, Wanda!!
