Gilders Paste

Gilders Paste transforms ordinary metal pieces into gilded works of art and colorful unique treasures. It can also highlight wood, ceramics, polymer clay, and more. This wax-based medium goes on like a paste but is formulated to dry and harden to the touch in just one hour (allow up to 12 hours if polishing/buffing is desired). Gilders Paste can be rejuvenated, ensuring a long shelf life and bang-for-your-buck. While it does generally dry to the touch after about an hour, we do recommend sealing your work, ensuring its permanence, with the Claudine Hellmuth Studios sealants. Check out our Tip & Technique videos on rejuvenating a "dried out" tin of Gilders Paste and on applying Gilder's Paste to metal.
