“Girl in the Red Coat (SL)”
Description from Happy Grannie: In this pick, I am trying to recreate the mood evoked by Spielberg in one of the early scenes of Schindler's List. Although almost the entire film is in Black/White, there is an early shot of a little girl walking down a city street wearing a bright red coat. It shocks the viewer, I think, for one thing. The rest is open....
By the way, I won't be online for awhile. I'm having rather a complex, lengthy surgery in a couple of weeks, and am having to make preparations. It's spinal neurosurgery, and the aim is to get me out of my wheelchair. The surgery is not without its risks; however, the possibility of success beckons. I have a top-notch neurosurgeon, and believe that I have an excellent chance with his surgical team (it's a 15-hour+ operation.) Wish me luck, please, on August 13. Thanks for all your kindness and support.
By the way, I'm a cat lover also. I have three pussies to purr me back to health post surgery: one fluffy gray boy (Samson), one very fluffy orange/white girl(Phoebe), and one sleek, short-haired all-black gentleman (Ripley). All three are rescue cats: two were seized from a puppy mill by police, and one was orphaned at birth by a feral cat, but fostered with great love prior to her coming to reign in my house (Phoebe). Pictures to come later.
Keep beading, chickies. Maybe, when I come back online, I might qualify for a chicky name. Whaddya think? Love ya all!
