I love the shading. What do they call that in fabric–ombre? Anyway, you’ve made me see more in pave beads than I noticed before. Good one!

    OK Jacki says:

Thanks, Chickies!! Laud, this is the Webster’s def of ombre – essentially shading…The topaz ombre pave’s are absolutely stunning. They graduate in shading from dark to light and look so elegant & mysterious!!! I’m in love w/ pave shades…

    Definition of OMBRÉ:
having colors or tones that shade into each other —used especially of fabrics in which the color is graduated from light to dark
    — ombré noun
    Origin of OMBRÉ
French, past participle of ombrer to shade, from Italian ombrare, from ombra shade, from Latin umbra — more at umbrage
    First Known Use: 1893

  8. OK Jacki
    OK Jacki says:

clarification – meant to say…each individual ombre bead graduates from light to dark. The pictures don’t do them justice.

Ring the Bling! Terrific for the holidays, especially New Year’s – luv it. Another beading site has these beads in teardrops, fading from light at top to dark at the bottom, Yummy these are!
