So now you know the polyps are precancerous and that a colonoscopy potentially saved your life! Thank goodness they were found and gotten rid of!
I am glad they are diligent in keep an eye on you and please remind me and let me know when your next one is scheduled…and I’ll keep you company through the prep night!

I was a little disappointed b/c the Dr. said he was almost positive they were benign but he called and spoke with my hubby a few days later. If they want to do the upper GI though this time they will have to knock me totally out b/c I woke up a lot and remember a lot through the procedure–especially trying to put that camera down my throat. I have been through numerous upper and lower GI tests, including a colonoscopy every year for the past 10 or 11 years. Not much fun, but better to be in the know when it regards your health, my friend!

Smoky Rose says:me too, Mary Lou! done the endoscopy, done the colonoscopy – have had precancerous polyps. in fact, my next colonoscopy is later this mo, right before Thanksgiving. For sure, not much fun – but isn’t it an amazing thing – a precancerous little beast inside, waiting to do harm – the worst kind of harm – and for the sake of an unpleasant 24 hours or so (including prep time), it’s out, gone, can do no harm. It’s just amazing to me – how blessed we are to have that technology to benefit from. All the best!
