Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:I’m not much for fishing (love to eat them cooked, though!), but this trip looks like fun!!!
Beautiful color combo, Debra, and the GGP pieces are cute!

Chicky D aka Debra says:I’d like to go fishing, but it’s just too hot right now.

Elaine aka Belly Chick says:Wow!! Perfect!!

Leslie W Mtn Chick says:Nice pick! You know, I never wanted to go fishing unless it was with my beach towel scooping up fish with a friend out of the tide pools at my local beach as a child. And I still want to do the same thing now!

Jeannes Gems - Gem Chick says:Haven’t been fishing in years. My husband and I used to go down to the canal when we were first married. Then out on the boat. No more boat. And now I’d rather bead than fish LOL
Lovely pick! hmmmm – you reminded me that we might have a visitor from the Dominican Republic at the end of the month… might need to put in an order for more larimar.

Chicky D aka Debra says:I noticed the larimar ovals were sold out when I made this pick. I just love the soft watercolor feel of larimar, but it’s just too pricey for me. Love it, though.

Chicky D aka Debra says:Who’s coming from the Dominican Republic?

Jeannes Gems - Gem Chick says:Omayra – One of the girls who partipated in the exhange when Sam did. We met her mom when we were there in December. I think she’ll stay with us a few days and then with the family she stayed with here.

CAS says:I am NOT a fisherman. As a kid when the family’d go fishing I’d sit happily on the bank reading a book, instead of fighting over who had the fishing rod first. My parents both LOVE to fish, in fact their very first (blind) date was fishing on a lake, they’ve both told me separately that on that first date they decided that they’d found the love of their life. They’ve been married for 48 years (49 in October).

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Christine, what a lovely story about your parents — thanks for sharing it! I’m with you and Jeanne — I’d rather be reading or beading! LOL

Shannon aka Silly Chick says:My husband is a total waterbaby and would rather fish than just about anything – I found out a year after we married that to buy my ring (which is my most treasured possession) he had sold his beautiful boat – I didn’t even know it was gone b/c I assumed he’d left it in TN when we came to FL w/my new job! We bought a funky old pontoon the following year and spent many happy Saturdays fishing and photographing the beautiful FL waterways! This pick and all your comments reminded me of those peaceful days!

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:That is soooooooo romantic, Shannon! Sort of like “The Gift of the Magi” by O. Henry.

Shannon aka Silly Chick says:I know Lynn – he’s a keeper! Ha – yeah, good memory! But my hair wasn’t long enough to cut and sell for his ring!!! Hehehehehe!

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:LOL Wouldn’t that have been funny, Shannon? The two of you could’ve written your own short story!

Shannon aka Silly Chick says:Not as literary-sounding: he sold his boat to buy me a ring and I sold a finger to buy him a trolling motor! HAHA!
