Description from Mary S - Sweet Chick: It's All about the Ammonite!
I caved in a splurged on the Ammonite slices last week in the POD. My package came today and THEY WEREN'T THERE!!! LB had run out. :-(
Here's the question; how do the Ammonite pieces in this pick actually look? Anyone have them? I really wanted the slices but would consider these only if they are FABULOUS. They're in my cart and I need to purchase by tomorrow morning. HELP PLEASE!

Mommykat Bubbly Chick says:Oh, Dear, this is a dilema! I have not seen the Ammonite in person- tho it looks awful cool! The same is true for the Agate slab- it looks cool but not yet seen it in person. I love using the big chunky slabs, I think they are fabulous!
Sorry, guess I am not very helpful!

Luv2bead - Little Chick says:I don’t have these either, I had wanted the one’s you ordered (but didn’t get) but they went out of stock a day before I was going to order
!!!! If no one knows what they look like, could you just order them and then send them back if you don’t like/care for them?!
Pretty pick btw!

Chicky Zee aka Alice says:I order the one that went out of stock and had to return it horrible. Then I reorder the one that’s in your fresh pick .Its not as good looking as the picture I only got a 1/2 strand so I kept it will wire wrap it. It could have been better LOL!!!!!I will get some but only if I can see them in person!!!!!

Mary S - Sweet Chick says:Thanks everyone for your help!
These are quite a chunk out of the pocket book and I want to make sure they are what I’m looking for.
Your input has helped a lot!!

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Mary, I got a half strand of the ammonite & only kept it because I, too, think I can make it look better by wrapping it. I was VERY disappointed in the actual product compared to the photo.
They actually look & feel dirty. I won’t buy them again unless it is somewhere that I can hold them in my hand first!
On the other hand — the slabs I have purchased, including the black agate in your pick, are FABULOUS and worth every penny!!!

Faithful Chick aka Faith says:Well I haven’t seen LIMA’s but the little guy at the Waldo Flea market sells it and has a huge one sliced in half he wants $190 for. It is almost 10 inches big. Is to die for and is cut in half. They are pretty uncut but so interesting sliced in half so you can see the little creature inside all fossilized for life. Poor thing. It really is amazing to be frozen in time like that much more interesting and pretty than amber or another fish looking black stone boney looking fossile
stone. Does any of this make sense. Well worth getting but sliced is even better. I think even whole they are not real small either so depends on what you want to do with it also. Ask Lima Beads on phone they are always helpful and courteous. At least my experiences with them. Good luck.

Faithful Chick aka Faith says:I think those who have purchased advice is best. See it if unsure! Guess you could send them back but then you’d have double shipping fees.

Vampire Chickie Ravin says:I’ve never ordered the amonite from LB, and the only 2 slices I have were sent to me, one was awesome looking, (the one I made the necklace with), the other is smaller and a bit plainer, but still pretty in a delicate, simple sort of way. I don’t think I’d buy them from looking at a pic though. I’d have to be able to see them first hand.
