“Hosta Fest”

Description from CAS: About four years ago our town began planting wildflowers on the buffer strips between the roads and sidewalks. The neighborhood deer love it, an all-you-can-eat buffet! The deer that live in the field across from our house have decided that my Mom's Hosta plants are an added treat on the buffet. So like those restaurant commercils we have "Hosta Fest".

Oh, what a lovely pick! We have deers in out garden now and then, but I have never seen them eating our Hosta plants. They go for my Tulips and the furnace on the beetroots (summertime) instead :-( By the way “Hosta” also means “caughing” in swedish ;-)

I love this pic and the name. I can’t wait for the first signs of the Hosta leaves to peek out of the ground. I might jinx myself by saying this but our hostas are in a woodland bed right next to the dog pen and the deer get close but not close enough to eat them. This year they’ll probably decide the dogs can’t get them and eat everything in that bed.
