“I Wanna Hold Your Hand”

Description from Debbi aka Sparkle Chick: Today in 1963, the Beatles' first single was released in the US.

And I've been a huge fan ever since!

Does anyone remember seeing them on the Ed Sullivan show in February 1964?

You were just a baby. (I was right you are barely old enough to remember but you came from the days when life was so much more fun.) I am a lot older than you. My daughter is 45. Oooo that sounds scarry.

Nice tribute. Paul still looks pretty good. Saw him on a show not too long ago.

Thanks Chicky Suz and Faith! I was 7 years old…I think my Uncle was overseas and we were storing his console tv. I remember sitting on the floor in the basement watching them sing and the girls screaming!
Yep, Paul doesn’t look so bad but then again, my eyes aren’t 7 anymore! :)

In February of 1964 I was only 2 1/2 years old, too young to stay up for Ed Sullivan. But, boy, do I remember the Beatles. I remember I was on a beach in Maine the first time I ever heard Sargent Pepper, still vivid after all the years … (sigh) … :D

Funny that this is an anniversary date….I won tickets to see a Beatles tribute band called Revolution so Sunday night my hubby & I went to the local theatre to see them. They were actually pretty good….the fellow that was singing as John Lennon looked just like him with his wig, glasses and white suit, at least from a short distance away!
I do remember that Ed Sullivan show, I would have been 7 years old….so long ago it seems! :-D

My husband is in the room enjoying Fleetwood Mac. Man and he complains I have the tv up loud. (I have a hearing problem, huh?) I like them too I just hope the neighbors do. LOL
