Description from Deb Harding: I love pearls...I guess its obvious since I rarely make a pick without them. They don't have to be real and expensive either. 4 of my cutest pearl bracelets are actually elastic pearl hair ties. My best pearl necklace is one I got free by sending in proof of purchase things from some cat food (see it pays to have cats). They are glass of course but its knotted between each pearl and they still look good after 20 years. So...anyway...
I prefer the white, pinks, greys but the aqua and browns are my new fave. And if LB would get thes black shell pearls I saw that would be the bomb-diggity!!!

Crazy Chick Frida says:Didn’t know you loved pearls Deb
LOL Love pearls too though I prefer freshwater over “manmade”
Wouldn’t mind having all components in this pick
On Jan 15, 2013 at 6:36 pm #
Luna Chick aka Coral says:I have always liked pearls but my fondness for them has increased recently!
On Jan 15, 2013 at 6:54 pm #
Deb Harding says:Frida I prefer freshwater also. My first pearls were the Biwa pearls. BUT….the shell pearls are made in basically the same way an oyster would make them. And they jave a great consistency in size and color. I like that when I’m making something where I don’t wamt any variation. Glass pearls, if they are good also offer that consistency. And the famouse pearls that Jackie Kennedy were glass pearls. If they were good enough for her. My hair tie peael bracelets I bought so I wouldn’t have to worry about them when I went out dancing. So stylish options without worry. lol

Asia says:Love the pearls also, at first I was buying everything now I’m more selective, love the faceted ones a lot to bad LB doesn’t carry them, love the pick Deb
On Jan 15, 2013 at 7:16 pm #
Deb Harding says:I wish they had the black shell pearls. Faceted ones…oh my golly! I’ve seen some gorgeous vintage glass pearls…dimpled with such a creamy color. To die for.
On Jan 15, 2013 at 7:17 pm #
Crazy Chick Frida says:I have some of the shellpearls they are cool
My newest pearls are the rusty pink biwa that LB have and they are absolutly gorgeous
Then we have the saltwater pearls… hhaha ooh I whish. Think I have one
On Jan 15, 2013 at 7:19 pm #
puppychick labratbecky says:Frida, I have those Biwas, too, and I love them so much I am hoarding them.
On Jan 15, 2013 at 7:24 pm #
Crazy Chick Frida says:They almost sparkle
Can recomend the iris green dancing drops too. Yes all of them I can recomend. Before they had a “vanilla” color and that was a great color. Miss them. Think I’m hoarding gems n pearls
On Jan 15, 2013 at 7:25 pm #
Deb Harding says:They do look interesting. I’ve had my eye on them. Becky you sound like me with this nice string of freshwater pearls I have and this big.string of garnets. I don’t even know how long I’ve had them. You’d think I would make something out of them.
On Jan 15, 2013 at 7:27 pm #
Asia says:I have them too and the iris green, I think I have at least 20 strands and I just started beading, I’m hoarding too
On Jan 15, 2013 at 7:30 pm #
puppychick labratbecky says:Now I really need those iris green drops! I just took a look–WOW! My plan with my stash is to use my “little” hobby as income after I retire.
IF I can ever retire!!
On Jan 15, 2013 at 7:32 pm #
Crazy Chick Frida says:LOL one has to hoard
My creativity works like this; When I’m a beginner at a new medium I usally test and do weird stuff fast fast. Then when some time has gone I look at it and then often tear it. So now I’m at ‘rescue pretty beads from old bad stuff”
Asia and Deb you both seem to think and carefully do your designs! You are great!
On Jan 15, 2013 at 7:33 pm #
Deb Harding says:This is a photo of my most expensive piece of pearl jewelry. One grey pearl..in a sterling silver bullet look set with a tiny sterling ball chain.
On Jan 15, 2013 at 7:33 pm #
Crazy Chick Frida says:Yes Becky you must have them they are gorgeous
Now it starts being late here or early morning so if I don’t make sence and rambling you know why

On Jan 15, 2013 at 7:36 pm #
Asia says:Love it
On Jan 15, 2013 at 7:36 pm #
Deb Harding says:Oh no Frida I have BUNCHES of old old crappy jewelry I’ve made. Rescued some pink quartz and some purple and green stones the other day. Don’t remember what they were.
On Jan 15, 2013 at 7:38 pm #
Deb Harding says:Yea I love it. Cant remember where I got it though. It was not cheap either.
On Jan 15, 2013 at 7:40 pm #
puppychick labratbecky says:Deb that’s fabulous! I love simple elegance like that!
On Jan 15, 2013 at 7:44 pm #
Crazy Chick Frida says:Looks expensive it does
Actually I think sometimes it’s good to be “fast n furious” in art
Sometimes one has to think
On Jan 15, 2013 at 7:47 pm #
Deb Harding says:Thank you Becky and also Asia and Frida.
The cool thing about beading is the material is not unusable after you finish. If.you don’t like it you can take it apart and start over.
On Jan 15, 2013 at 7:50 pm #
Crazy Chick Frida says:Yes exactly! Exept when one do wirework, darn how much wire I have trashed. One can melt it though. And some more stuff there is that’s buy buy …
On Jan 15, 2013 at 7:52 pm #
Deb Harding says:OH MY GOSH Frida….I just tried that tooth thing with the pearl in that necklace. It freaking works. Set my teeth on edge it was like gritty sandpaper.
On Jan 15, 2013 at 7:52 pm #
puppychick labratbecky says:I can relate and that’s why I don’t do much in sterling–don’t want to waste it, don’t have a way to melt it down yet…..workin’ on that last part….
On Jan 15, 2013 at 7:53 pm #
Crazy Chick Frida says:On Jan 15, 2013 at 7:58 pm #
Crazy Chick Frida says:Yes Iris green dancing freshwaterdrops=sandpaper Platinum shell pearls = smooth
Lol
On Jan 15, 2013 at 7:59 pm #

On Jan 16, 2013 at 12:48 am #
Laud says:I think pearls add a lot to designs. You’ve got some wonderful colors here, and the mermaid is perfect for your theme.
