Description from Mary S - Sweet Chick: This spring I applied for a booth in a local festival called Christkindlmarkt. It is held in November. There is a wait list to get into this festival so I didn't get my hopes up to be accepted. As expected all booths were filled so I decided to attend another Arts fest in October.
Last week the contact person called and said they had a cancellation and if she took my product to the approval board would I like the spot? She cautioned me that It may not happen as there are others on the wait list ahead of me. My answer of course was 'yes'! I waited and waited......and after a week and no word thought the spot was given to another vendor. Monday I recieved the application papers in the mail!!!!
I'm in!!!! I'm so excited!
Now I have a 2 day show in October and a 2 day show in November!!
Do I have enough pieces? Should I make more? I have so many questions I'm not sure what to think. The Christkindlmarkt has over 6500 people attending!!
Help! Any pointers, tips, suggestions?!

Are there other vendors you know so you can inquire about how much trafic to expect, stock needed, etc.?

Christkindlmarkt is held indoors.
I will have to check my inventory, not sure what all I have.

Thanks Mary….. actually I am changing my display a little for the fall season…. I will be setting it up for the first time on Friday night, so I’ll post some new pick on Saturday…..
Count your inventory and have a good mix of everything, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and anything else you may have.
Usually with a two day show , your will need to restock your tables the second day.

I have a suggestion not mentioned above – in the cattle barn show, check and see if they have electricity – your pieces will show so much better if you have close-in lighting. I did a craft fair in a similar situation, and the lighting was terrible! You need to draw people to your booth!
You’ll do great, I have no doubt! And, BTW, this is a fab pick, going right to favs!
