Description from Cuban Queen Crazy Chick: So I got a strand of the big variscite nuggets in my last order and I'm not sure which direction I want to go with them. I was thinking of pairing them with amethyst and accenting it with white or black stones, or pairing them with white stones, accenting them with black or purple, or just sticking with one color and no accent....or maybe rock crystal instead? I know, I sound crazy, I'm just trying to figure out the best combination for this necklace. Any suggestions, chicks? :)

For a statement : The Thunder egg agate faceted nuggets would go well as they also have among rusts and browns, similar greens. Purples will go , but not too drk as they will over take the color.

Science Chick Runs Sibes says:I’ll throw my vote for amethyst with white accent. Black may be too stark with variscite. If you want something dark, the smoky quartz suggestion or amber in caramel tones that bring out the darker matrix in the variscite.

I do think black would be too stark of a contrast (although I love high-contrast jewelry) for the pale green of variscite. Smoky quartz would work really well too…. I’m just gonna go with what Lynn said and try them all out and see what speaks to me. That always works. Thank you for the ideas, chicks!!

Cuban Queen Crazy Chick says:Jeanne, that would be gorgeous! I just did a similar color concept using faceted clearish pink glass beads with peach jade stones. Love how the colors flow together. I do have some pale green fluorite that I’ve been thinking about using in this design, too. Thanks for another great suggestion!
