“Ladybugs in my House”

Description from Daisy Chick - Dawn: The Asian lady bugs (also known as Halloween Beetles) are coming in to winter over. I keep vacuming them up. I usually like lady bugs but these guys bite.

My kitties love to play with them. Unfortunately then I find them dead all over the place (in my shoe this morning!). But it’s a pretty pick!

Lovely pick Dawn guess the ladybugs need some place to hide I love them.

Thank-you Cindy and Alice! I like them til they start to bite. One fell down my blouse and I couldn’t get it off fast enough. I didn’t want to squish the thing because it smells so bad and would stain the shirt, but it biting me was no fun either!

Love ladybugs. They are so cute, but we don’t have biting ones, thank goodness. Love this combo.

Pretty pick, ladybugs are suppost to be lucky, I don’t think biting ones count.

Thanks-you 3K Mahala, Martha and Karen. Yes I hear they are lucky, must be the native ones that are lucky and not the imported Asian ladybugs.

I love lady bugs… the native ones… we have them here in California and I have never known one to bite…. but I KNOW they are lucky… this last weekend when I was setting up for my show… I noticed a lady bug on the pole of my canopy …. it stayed there all day… and we had fantastic sales !!!!!!

So glad to hear she brought you good luck Violet for the show and the sales she brought you! We have the native and the Asian ladybugs. The native ones are smaller and don’t bite. They also winter outside. The Asian ones were imported to eat the nasty bugs but they also come indoors, bite and if they feel threatened they give off this nasty odor and “pee” on you in hopes you leave them alone. I used to feel sorry for them and set them outside now I just vacume them up.

Same here, they keep coming into the house, don’t know how they do it :-) Very pretty pick!
