“Laud's Charm”

Description from Laud: No, I don't think I'm charming, but I got your attention, didn't I? I think it would be a fun challenge for LBers to describe themselves through picks that could become charm bracelets or necklaces. This is mine.

What a great challenge – - may take me some time to think about it. Love that you not only selected charms but also described what they mean about you – - a totally fascinating pick !

    Laud says:

That’s the idea, CB. We don’t want just to pick items from our wish lists–but that’s another cool thought.

Hmmmmm Not enough dog charms or fungus. :) Very cool idea! Can it have homemade pieces?

  11. Laud
    Laud says:

If you know how to add them to a FP, go ahead. Oh! You could show the pieces as a design.

hmmmm I could do that….. We still have the repurpose challenge to get past. :) I’m not even gonna suggest another design challenge with your idea, maybe due by about St.Paddy’s day? :)

Oh no.no no…..now I sound like Julie did!!
This is a cool.pick. I don’t know if I can figure out stuff for mine.

  14. Julie Shane
    Julie Shane says:

My ears are burning Deb. Are you using my name in vain??? ;)
Laud, this sounds fun! I have a couple pieces in mind, but it will take a little thinking to fill 16 squares! I like that you explained your pieces. You are a writer! How cool! I teach literature and LOVE to read and discover what’s REALLY in the story/novel… But I don’t have a creative writer’s muse.

  15. Deb Harding
    Deb Harding says:

Not in vain…oh no…was just totally understanding your point of view.

  16. Laud
    Laud says:

I wasn’t thinking about making the pieces from our FPs, just making the picks. Is that better?

  17. Deb Harding
    Deb Harding says:

Oh I know you were’nt Laud. LOL! Becky was just throwing the idea out there. Id have to sit that one out anyway.

My coworkers think I should make earrings that look like fungus (the furry bread mold and strawberry mold kind). I have been thinking about it and I’m pretty sure I could make Aspergillus fumigatus. :) That’s what I play with at work. If I take a pic of it and add it here in the comments or like Laud said as a “design” in the gallery I could leave a square blank.

  19. Elis Mom
    Elis Mom says:

Laud, what a neat pick and idea. I’ll have to work on mine.
Becky, I’s be curious to see how your fungoid earrings turn out!

    Luna Chick aka Coral says:

Very cool idea Laud! I am dying to see what Becky would put together. You already helped me with some of mine (scifi, gardening)!

  21. Laud
    Laud says:

Ok! Julie teaches literature, and Coral loves sci-fi and gardening. Cool connections! As for Becky’s fungus…well, that’s one I’ll have to learn to appreciate.

    Thank you all!
