“Life Goes On”

Description from MoonBell: Well, I went to our friends' wedding tonight. I've been trying to talk to my Mom pretty often since we got back home after my Dad's memorial service, and so I called her to tell her about their wedding today. We just found out Sunday they wanted us to be a part of their intimate service (that they'd moved up 3 months), we were 4 of about 20 people they invited. My mom was so pleased to hear some good news, my 'might-as-well-really-be-related' Grandma Bettie had a stroke a few days after my Dad's service, and is not expected to make it much longer. So hearing some good news really cheered Mom up today.
I made the bride's shawl, white lace with red ribbon woven through it. She fastened it around her shoulders with a feather brooch. Her wedding ring is a gem-quality piece of kyanite set in white gold that her groom designed for her.
It was sweet and simple, and probably the most memorable wedding I've ever attended. I felt so blessed that they wanted us there tonight. And they didn't even mind that my 3 year old pitched a fit just as it started, either. ;)

This is one of the loveliest senitments I have read in a long while. Life truly is about changes letting people come in and out of our lives. Treaasure them while they are with us because we never know how long they will be with us. The wedding sounds truly lovely. How refreshing after all the hoopula some go thru. We eloped and I never have regretted it. My Dad is a stroke victim and we suffer with him everyday, but it has given us a strength and much laughter I never could have found any other way. I hope that you find peace, love and strength in what ever comes your way and an understanding to accept the things you can’t change.

What a lovely pick for such a wonderful occasion! Isn’t it amazing how great sorrow can be followed so closely by great joy?! It has long been said that God will never give us more than we can bear, even though that is hard to believe sometimes. I believe that is why he has given us the power of love, our greatest strength, to help us during those times when we feel that life is hopeless. Congratulations to the newlyweds, and may the strength of the love around you help you through your time of loss.
