Shannon aka Silly Chick says:Gorgeous!! That Green Line Qtz is really pretty and just as much so in person!!
Need some advice girls: The Woodland leaf clasp does not have a loop or hole anywhere on it so it can be attached as the opp end of a toggle…Wire wrapping? Not sure about that – and haven’t seen brass wire per se…Your thoughts? “)

Mommykat Bubbly Chick says:in the picture there is small hole on clasp; is there a hole on the toggle?

Smoky Rose says:Shannon, that knot in the log of the toggle – is that a hole?
On May 20, 2009 at 7:51 pm #
Shannon aka Silly Chick says:Smoky, no – no hole on the ’stick’ end…There is a hole at the end of the leaf side, but that’s it…

Mommykat Bubbly Chick says:Oh, dear! Do you think, wire wrapping? or maybe drill a small hole- Usually I use my Dremmel for that type of thing.

Smoky Rose says:odd…… email the boys, see what they say?……..

Shannon aka Silly Chick says:Bubbly and Smoky – The piece is so cute that I can’t imagine wrapping wire on it and don’t have the little Dremmel tool – I emailed the LB guys – guess it’s too soon to hear anything…Ultimately, guess wrapping is the only real solution but I wonder what the manufacturer had in mind?

seashellsally says:Just swooped in for some late night LB.
Shannon, although I can’t see it, nor have I purchased the Woodland leaf finding, I would venture a guess there MUST be a round loop of some kind on the underside for attachment. Which makes sense because then when the toggle portion is placed inside the loop, if the attachment is on the underside, the action keeps the detailed upper side, on the upper side.
I have seen brass wire, brass covered wire via other sites.

Shannon aka Silly Chick says:That would make sense, SeaShellSally, but I have two – they have neither hole nor loop – anywhere – on the toggle half -

seashellsally says:Shout out to Shannon, re: Woodland leaf finding; if you haven’t heard from LB yet a suggestion: the toggle must have a way to attach, do you have a jewelers loupe? or magnifying glass? sometimes the ‘hole’ is camouflaged, underneath another part. Turning it over and really looking.. you might be surprised. If you can’t find anything, then it is defective and I would return it. If you ‘luv it’ enuf for a ‘work around’ I would venture the following as workable solutions: either drilling as Mommykat suggested or soldering a small ring onto the toggle. I can’t see how any wireworking solution would be secure enough. Good Luck!

Jeannes Gems - Gem Chick says:check out vintaj’s website. It looks like you just attach jump rings around the middle.

Shannon aka Silly Chick says:Thanks for the link Gem Chick! I looked at the picture of the completed project – they turned one end of the branch to form a loop and then used an S hook to complete the clasp instead of using the whole thing as a toggle – still seems weird that it can’t be used ‘as is’ for a clasp, but it’s so cute – I’ll try anything!!! You’re a good “egg”!!!!
