Description from J Trent: "It came upon a midnight clear" is about the shimmery, crystal moonlight that shines in a clear dark sky. Near the full, bright moon the sky can be almost daylight in color yet the depths of the dark navy sky touch the earth. So here is a range of blues, crystal clarity, and shimmer.
